In Season 3, Episode 9 of 'Outlander', Claire and Jamie Fraser take to the sea in nautical and tropical sun, sailing and beach friendly hats and clothing.
For her seafaring journey, Claire wears a crisp ivory white long-sleeve shirt and a light blue full floor-length (...deck length) skirt with a brown leather square buckle belt and tan wide brim woven raffia straw hat.
This post focuses on Claire's open weave natural straw hat. Below are several hats in various styles and materials in neutral beige colors. Some are foldable crochet and can also be pinned up into a tri-corner style as Claire had done.
One is already in a tricorn shape as well. Some also have ribbon ties to keep them on in the windy sea breezes for beach or boating ... and there is even a 'super humongous' one just for fun.
