Poetry 3 - Poems & Lyrics
'I Didn't Want to Go'
Wasted all that time to get back to
A place I didn't know, I didn't want to go,
Now there's nothing left to show, for all the wasted time
To get back to a place I didn't even know,
That I didn't even want to go...
Building pie up in the skies,
Crumbling right before my eyes,
How could I be so blind...
Pie up in the skies,
Crumbling right into my eyes,
Making me so blind.

TOM & TIM -
Have you met the twins, Tom & Tim?
One is skinny, the other is thin.
If you meet just one, how do you know if it's him?
It could be Tom, or it could be Tim --
You just can't tell twin from twin!
I get it wrong again & again...
Is it Tom, or is it Tim?
Either way, he's still my friend.
And that's the end of my tale of the twins.

LITTLE DOG DAISY
Little dog Daisy went to lay in her bed, but all she found was nothing instead.
Her pookies were gone and her blankies too, what oh what was she to do?
Daisy looked high and then looked low, but she didn’t know where else to go.
She thought all was lost and not to be found, and her heart began to sink to the ground.
Then mommy came in with her arms full of blankets, and toys from the wash,
Which she laid out on the floor while Daisy dog watched.
The blankets were smoothed, and all the pookies soon in their place.
Then Daisy dog knew that all had been saved,
So she went to her blankie and there she stayed.
...And now that all was right and well, fast asleep little Daisy fell.

COYOTE BUNNY
Coyote bunny was a little jackrabbit who lived in the desert, mostly from habit.
He lived out where the coyotes do - but he hardly saw any, only a few.
His fur was soft, and looked just like a coyote's -
Brown, black and gray, with a little white on his throat-ies.
With long back legs that could run so fast, never running out of gas,
He would run like the wind through the long desert grass.
Then one day he set out on a mission, to see if he could go a-fishin’
For some food and water, if that could be found, so he set out on the trail just like a hound.
Now jackrabbits only eat cactus and roots, and the occasional yummy sagebrush to boot.
So Coyote bunny hopped the whole day through, hoping to find something to chew.
He finally stopped along the way, to watch a baby roadrunner hatch.
Then realized he was right in the middle, of a nice big bushy sagebrush patch.
The tender leaves were covered in dew, so he lapped up the drops and began to chew.
While he wiggled his ears and nose in delight, he nibbled on sagebrush ‘til almost night.
And now Coyote bunny was happy, and very sleepy too -
With his tummy all full and no more to do, he curled up and slept the whole night through.
