One of the best ways to take care of your feet, while also detoxing at the same time, is to exfoliate the dry, rough skin found there.
A great way to do this is either by hand - such as with a brush, foot scrub or handheld file - or with a powered implement made for home pedicures.
It's a win-win whenever you can create both beautiful AND healthy feet! You not only look better but feel better, too.
Hand-held products I have used include a Foot File, Pumice Stick, and Rasp. It's best to soak the feet first before using these in order to soften the skin.
Conversely, the feet should be dry for battery powered tools such as the Ped-Pro, or the Pedi-Spin Callus Remover (see below).
These powered tools work fine, but only as long as the batteries are relatively fresh, or else there won't be enough power to do the job effectively.
Other options include corded electric plug-in models. While these won't lose power, they are not as convenient since they need to stay plugged in to a wall outlet.
The absolute best powered foot-care tool that I have found so far are the rechargeable type such as the Pedi from Clarisonic.
Since it's rechargeable, it will always be at peak power. This item is quite a bit more pricey than the others, but is top of the line quality.
The Clarisonic Pedi can also be used either Wet or Dry, and includes a line of topical foot-care products which are optional.
