Devotions - A New Thing?
Good morning,
I thought you all may find this scripture from 2 Peter 1: 20-21 enlightening ... to all those "ministers" who are preaching that "God is doing a new thing" or that they have a "fresh revelation" from God:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost
Even Peter, an apostle who knew Christ ... was clear that the Holy Scriptures were God's, not man's and not for private interpretation.
Again, it's become the new "educated" ministers that can "interpret" the Bible much better than the average person ... or for that matter ... than the supposedly less educated prophets and men of God of old.
Ridiculous!
