In Season 2 of 'Outlander' Claire Fraser meets a very special character while in France, Master Raymond the Apothicaire. In Episode 2, Claire visits his Apothecary Shoppe in search of a sleep aid for her husband Jamie.
Maitre Raymond's Paris shop is full of many curiosities, and his vest is just as colorful being covered with various mysterious embroidered images peculiar to his trade.
Some of the vests shown below also contain embroidery or colorful patterns reminiscent of Master Raymond's overcoat vest. Many of the plain long sleeveless vests depicted can be sewn with embroidered patches of one's choice.
Materials include linen, cotton, genuine & faux suede, leather, sherpa, and even wool. Many are in a neutral color, ready for some colorful sew-on or iron-on applique patches, and a long sleeve linen shirt to wear underneath.
