WHAT NOT TO WEAR TO A NEW YEAR'S EVE BASH AT A BEAUTIFUL HIGH-END RESORT
RACERBACKS T-SHIRTS FLANNELS & JEANS
In the left foreground the woman with the black print dress (or top) looks a little bit too informal and déclassé in a racer-back style.
In front of her appears to be a man in a white T-shirt with black jeans. Again, far too informal for the occasion. Further back from him is a man in a red and black buffalo plaid flannel shirt. Granted this is in CO, but it isn't Alaska!
BRA STRAPS BLACK HOSIERY OVERSIZED SWEATERS
To the right of flannel man is a woman in a stylish modestly cut knee-length black dress that is very appropriate to the occasion, except for the bra strap hanging (but at least it's black too) and also the black stockings. It would be best to wear skin tone for a more up-to-date bare leg look. The classic black pumps are nice however.
In the front left of center we have a woman in an asymmetrical gray tiered dress that doesn't look too bad, but the black sweater kind of ruins it, especially as it has a somewhat 'artsy' construction and fabric. It would be best to stick to a gray sweater or jacket in the same color.
SHORT HEMLINES & OFFICE WEAR TO A PARTY
To the right of her in the background, the lady in the red stripe dress looks fairly nice, but hemline is a little short to look appropriate. The stripes are a fine choice as long as it is kept simple with few accessories so as not to look too 'busy'.
The red dress front center is also a nice style, but too short. And the lady beside her looks as if she just came from the office in a checked skirt and long sleeve white top.
GO-GO BOOTS & MINI SKIRTS
Amongst these are three men in black suits who look far more appropriate, especially as there is also a formal dinner associated with this evening occasion.
At the right center, the girl looks cute in boots, but the Mom should not be dressed in this way, especially with a short skirt which is also in inappropriately white for evening wear.
MORE RACER-BACKS & TIGHT LEGGINGS
The one that sticks out the most is the gal in the right foreground with the red top and black pants. This looks far too informal as well as not being very classy.
Not only is the top in a unappealing racer-back style, but the leggings are way too tight to look right on her (or anyone else either).
IT'S NOT A COUNTRY BAR, IT'S THE BROADMOOR!
The man to her right looks like he got lost on the way to a country hoe-down with the western style black shirt and black denim jeans with a leather belt patch.
In all, one should dress comfortably and stylish, as well as simply, while still being fashionable without trying to make a loud statement ...casual quiet elegance is key!
