Having an informed decision from both sides of a health issue can be very important.
This is especially true if you are facing a health crisis such as Cancer or other serious dis-ease.
There is a well-known saying that:
"If you want some things to change, you've got to change some things."
In a serious illness, this includes 'radically' changing your diet and lifestyle.
The DVD, Healing Cancer, puts forth a premise that illnesses such as Cancer, Heart Disease, etc. can be greatly helped by natural therapies, even including a more plant-based diet.
In this DVD it may sound as though some of the speakers are pushing a low to no meat diet as part of the treatment.
However, it's more a matter of balance, and quality of the food (grass fed beef vs. grain fed for ex.).
-- The real problem is that the food industry has done a BAIT & SWITCH on us! --
Food that has been a traditional part of our diet is no longer as it had once been. This is true across the board, from meat and dairy to grains and produce.
Take milk as an example: I can remember when we used to get fresh local milk delivery from a nearby dairy. We all still buy milk thinking it's essentially the same as it was back then.
But, now the milk is all mixed together and distributed nationally. Even worse, it's mixed in with antibiotics and bovine growth hormones, etc. which may help producers, but not consumers.
Many of us have probably seen the push to buy organic milk, and even 'raw' milk (like our parents used to drink as children).
They 'survived' on this...and even thrived on it! Raw milk still has the enzymes and all the other good stuff, IF you can get it.
It's a similar story with the produce - GMO's & Pesticide, (if not organic), picked unripe, shipped from far away, etc.
It's a food quality issue now - what we used to call 'normal' food is now a 'specialty' item, and one pays dearly for 'Organic'.
But, it's well worth it for our health. Especially in these days with so many illnesses that are results of 'deficiency & toxicity'.
These illnesses are so many times are then treated with very toxic and unnatural substances such as chemotherapy and other 'drugs'.
In thinking of this, I thought this saying might apply to the use of such things as chemo & radiation, as in the case of Cancer:
'How can the unnatural cure the natural?'
It's strange to think that a better diet & a non-toxic lifestyle can be an answer, but (to me) it's even stranger to think that toxic chemicals & harmful radiation could be very helpful.
Even if you choose chemotherapy and radiation, a healthy diet and lifestyle can go a long way in helping you to feel better and stay healthier through the treatments.
May God bless you, and give you good health!
"I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live...
That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days."
