The original Bean Bag Chair was conceived in the late 1960’s by a team of Italian designers.
It was pear-shaped (but round became the preferred...) and made of leather.
Originally called a “Sacco", when it was mass-produced it was made of vinyl and filled with polystyrene plastic pellets …
