(See our post HERE for Claire's Grey Chatelaine Gown I.)
In Season 2 of 'Outlander' Claire Fraser wears a grey satin sleeveless V-neck gown over a silky white puffed sleeve blouse while at the Paris home of Jamie's cousin in France.
Her dress features a cross-over wrap front bodice with sheer undersleeves tied with matching gray satin ribbon, bows and is decorated with silver-grey 'chatelaine' style honor regalia rope cord and a silver chain with diamond and dark blue sapphire floral brooch pin.
Claire further accessorizes her full floor-length gray French 'charmeuse' gown with a pair of 6-pointed snowflake silver star earrings and a beautiful creamy white silk organza puff sleeved blouson shirt beneath the fitted bodice.
Our previous post showcased a gown and blouse option for Claire's dress. Shown below is another idea for her suit ensemble: A fitted vest, ivory-white blouse, and a gray floor length fit-and-flare full skirt.
Vests shown feature fitted waist and bodice, split peplum hem, and either a regular or lower rounded V-neck or higher square neck style neckline. Skirts are full with an A-line silhouette in midi, ankle or maxi floor-length.
Also below are several white fitted smocked corset or blouse style tops with full, ruched or flounced puffy chiffon sleeves that lie close enough to the body to pair perfectly with the vest and skirt.
Our last post featured accessories for this outfit that include silver and crystal star dangle antique vintage style drop earrings or post-back studs, and a rhinestone crystal brooch bouquet pin with a leaf motif.
Claire's brooch serves as part of the noble royal household 'honorary regalia' Chatelaine style of her costume. It is also similar to this 'wing & crown' brooch with chatelaine chain.
To assist with this look, there is silky silver grey 'honor cord' and a silver braided waist belt with tassels as well as a long silver plated metal twist rope chain. This outfit will make a truly stunning and beautiful outfit.
