CLAIRE'S VERSAILLES BALL FAN
LARGER HAND FAN

In Season 2, Episode 2 of Outlander, Claire Fraser wears a risque red satin French gown to attend a royal ball with Jamie at Versailles Palace while they're living in Paris, France.
When Jamie first sees her in this dress, he is taken aback by the low cut bodice. She assures him that she has a way to cover - a small red folding fan. He remarks to her that she's '...gonna need a larger fan.'
Claire's second 'larger' fan that she then holds during the ball at Versailles is in a more muted color and is illustrated with a print featuring a stag and deer in a forest scene on silk fabric and a bamboo light colored wooden frame.
Shown below are several types of elegant folding hand fans in various sizes with similar depictions of flora and fauna in neutral colors such as brown, grey, tan, green and beige with wood bamboo frames.
