BRIANNA'S BRACELET
In Season 4, Episode 3 of 'Outlander' Brianna Randall receives a very special silver bangle bracelet from Roger MacKenzie.
The bracelet Roger gives to her has an inscription on the inside that reads in French: "Je t'aime ...un peu ...beaucoup ...passionnément ...pas du tout."
This translates to: "I Love you ...a little ...a lot ...passionately ...not at all." This saying perhaps speaks to Roger who later states, "I will love and have all of you, or not at all."
He loves Brianna and wants her for his own, for all time. But, he also can't bear the thought that she may love him back only a little - or perhaps not at all.
In this scene, he wants to know how she feels as well. That's perhaps a subject for another time, but this bracelet is a very beautiful sentiment, and a testament to their love.
