Available at amazon.com in lots of new and original colors and prints at great prices in sizes 5 - 11. Best ever... :) Since there was a post for 70s Men's Fashion, I wanted to do one for Women's Fashion, too. This picture shows a nice variety of fashions for women from the early 1970's: A Leather Headband, Floral Mini-Dress, Love Beads, Cuffed 'Hot Pants', Colorful Jeans Jacket, Shiny Leather Boots, Velvet Maxi, Coat-Dress, Midriff Vest, Braided Leather Belt, Large Brass Buckles, Ribbon Choker Necklace, Mary-Janes, Suede Boots, Butterflies, Ghillie-Ties, Granny Laces, Gauchos, Midi-Skirts, and a Leather Floppy Hat... Lots of great stuff! With Halloween approaching, I thought I would reprint an article from another of my blogs, lovetheseventies. Maybe it will be of help for someone who wants to get that 70s look for their costume this year. 70's Men's Fashion: "High-Waist Trousers, Bell Bottoms, Floral Print Shirts, Polka Dots - These were the "In" stuff of the time! 'WOW' - Groovy! 1970s men's fashion was characterized by several distinct fashion trends that have left an indelible image of the decade. These include platform shoes which appeared on the fashion scene in 1971 and often had soles two to four inches thick. These were worn by both men and women, who also often wore high platform sandals. Wide-legged, flared jeans and trousers were another fashion mainstay for both sexes throughout most of the decade. We can see several of these mainstays in the picture above - Fuller hair with a longer cut over the ears, long-sleeve dress shirt with wide pointed collar, high-waist trousers with front crease and patch pockets. Also the use of a wide leather belt with large square buckle, prints including stripes and plaid, bell-bottom trousers with flare and wide cuffs, and of course platform shoes. These two guys have all that going on!" Aubrey Organics, Silken Earth, Translucent Base, Porcelain Beige Aubrey's Silken Earth is the Ultimate Mineral Makeup. This translucent makeup base is made from 100% natural ingredients. It's great for sensitive skin, as well as those who may have chemical or fragrance sensitivities. Very simple and easy to use: Invert jar to release small amount of powder. Apply to clean, freshly moisturized skin with puff or brush, tapping to remove excess. For even coverage, apply in thin layers. Comes in several beautiful shades and colors, as well bronzers and shimmers. See more directions and full ingredient list at: http://www.iherb.com If you have MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivities), it's a good idea to check with your doctor before having any vaccinations done to see the various chemicals it may contain. Make sure there are no chemicals to which you have a known allergy. Different makes and manufacturers may have different ingredients, even for the same vaccine. Some vaccines are 'safer' than others, and they may also be able to be spaced apart in order to give your body more time to process and detoxify the various chemical ingredients. "I wish that you may prosper and be in good health!" Eating seaweed is good for you! - For radiation protection, for hair, for skin, and for overall health. Seaweed has naturally occurring iodine, as well as many other trace minerals that will protect your health when added to your diet. The naturally occurring iodine and other minerals in sea vegetables are safer for you as they are organic, not synthetic, and therefore more easily assimilated and more compatible to the human body. You can easily add small amounts of Sea Vegetables to your diet daily by consuming them in soups and salads, or by taking supplements in the form of capsules or powders. Purple Dulse Powder can be sprinkled to dishes for a salty flavor instead of table salt. Wakame is very mild and is delicious in Miso Soup made with just a little bit of miso paste, water, tofu (firm or soft, cut into chunks) and soaked wakame sea vegetable. The wakame is similar in taste and texture to a mild spinach flavor. Other products useful for adding a little bit of 'seaweed' to the daily diet are Gomasio, Nori (sushi wrap), Kelp and Arame. The Gomasio is especially good as a sprinkle on many dishes as it also contains organic sesame seeds, sea salt, and various sea vegetables: organic dulse, nori, and kombu. If you don't care for any of these, there are also many types of 'seaweed wrapped' crispy crackers that are very tasty. One especially good brand is: Eden Foods Nori Maki Crackers with: Sweet brown rice, nori seaweed, tamari soy sauce (water, soybeans, sea salt), shiitake mushroom powder, kombu seaweed powder. Don't forget Grandma's advice to 'Eat your (sea) vegetables! : ) *** I had been looking for the perfect blush stick that was like those that had been popular in the 1970's. The Mychelle Blush Stick was the perfect find. At almost 3/4" wide, it's a lot like the 'retro' blush sticks of the 70's. Even better, this moisturizing blush stick is 'animal-friendly' and features a great natural chemical-free, petroleum-free formula. It's really great for a blush, but it's also perfect for highlighting the tops of cheekbones, as well as the brow-bone. In Peony (shown here), this pale pink blush stick adds a pop of subtle color to both cheeks and/or eyes, anywhere you want a little extra color and shine. It also adds just a bit of 'shimmer'. Mychelle Blush Stick is available at iherb.com in colors ranging from Peony, Rose and Peaches, to Berry, Fig and Bronze. Yes, it's a stick - but it's not too 'sticky'! The cream formula of this blush stick is moisturizing without being greasy or oily. (Enter code LEC572 for 10.00 off your purchase at iHerb!) The Clarisonic Pedi was all charged up and ready to go today!
It was super - even better than expected. Gentle but very thorough. Did a really great job making rough, dry areas of the foot nice and smooth. If it accidentally touches a softer part of the foot, it is gentle and doesn't hurt at all. It's not at all harsh, but smooths perfectly, very gradually, evenly and safely. For today, I used the Smoothing Disc, then the Buffing Brush, both just 'dry'. Following up with the Pedi-Balm Foot Softening Treatment was the perfect finish. My Clarisonic Pedi arrived today! It's super nice, with a slim profile, and very easy to hold. This Foot-Care device is very versatile, as it can be used either wet or dry. For more on the Clarisonic Pedi (or if you'd like one of your own!), please click here. The Pedi, as well as its accompanying treatment products, help to effectively smooth rough, dry skin. These products, Pedi-Buff, Pedi-Balm, and Pedi-Boost, all help to exfoliate and hydrate the feet. This not only makes them look better, but your feet feel better, too. It's always a win-win whenever you can create both beautiful AND healthy feet! Please enjoy more info on the Pedi here, and below. |
